Tomorrow’s journalists & civic leaders are already here.

At The Bell, students question, investigate, report and reveal.

We equip a diverse generation of young people with the tools of journalism—giving them the platforms to speak truth to power and the skills to shape a democracy that works for all of them.

Empowering Students

We run hands-on, paid journalism programs for public high school students—centering voices and stories traditionally underrepresented in mainstream media.

01

Connecting Communities

Our multimedia student reporting, interactive public events, and collaborations with local news outlets create bridges between young people and the broader communities.

02

Changing Systems

We lead a coalition equipping schools to launch high-quality journalism courses and student news outlets, creating equitable access to tools, training and platforms.
